For this series of races Diana was the OOD of the Seabird Challenge. Despite the challenging wind conditions she laid out a fine course and we completed two races before lunch and two after.
Joseph sailed single handed and was untouchable in the first two races. After a nice lunch we headed out for the final two races in the series. Duncan and Gail seemed to have tuned in their new beautiful Duffin boat and won the two last races and ended up one point better than Joseph. Thomas and Martin came third in the series.
Commentary from the finishing line -
' … it was one of the more spectacular races that I have watched for quite some time with so many boats changing so many places, testing the level of patience with some sailors with shifting winds, then there were the gamblers trying extreme tacks and downwind legs on running river currents and most of all the very close finishes to watch.
It was down to the wire and whilst I congratulate everyone for pushing yourselves to the limit throughout the four races I need to say well done to the Fraser’s and its nice to see you back with those skills.'
