Sunday 4th November 2018 - OOD Joe Kenny
Marc Wilson on the 21st October challenged Mini to a race in their GP14s. Ernst couldn't resist & joined in the intense competition!! Ernst sailed off into the distance but rounded Ant Island in the wrong direction! The result of which was a win for Marc, 2nd for Mini & a DSQ for Ernst. A colourful end to the day.
Last Sunday, following the most enjoyable Birthday CMYC Party on the Saturday, 6 boats made it onto the water for the traditional club championship trophies of the Golden & Diamond Jubilee trophies, the RCYC trophy & the 75th Anniversary trophy.
Rob & Diana were faultless in their performance taking advantage of Joe Kenny's course adjustment having forgotten the course he had plotted as OOD. The winds were light with the occasional gust. We had a mixture of abilities with some first time sailors, some single handed & mix of GP14s & lasers on the water.
Congratulations go to Diana & Rob Cantley winning the top prize of the Golden Jubilee trophy, with Joe Kenny winning the Diamond Jubilee trophy, Ralf scooped up the RCYC trophy & Mini & Carl the 75th Anniversary.
Well done to everyone.
A small gathering on the lawn for lunch followed
This coming Sunday is the Intercontinental Trophy where the minimum combined handicap of helm & crew must be 9 and helm in the first race crews in the second.
