10 boats sailed the second of three Alton Cup races. Due to the dropping breeze the race stretched out to be a 100-minute race. Still the 4 leading boats were within one minute of each other and all boats within 7:40 minutes. Unfortunately a mark left on the course from the mornings Opti training confused the leading boats forcing them to sail a somewhat longer race - which also kept the fleet together.
Thomas & Steen was first over the line with Duncan & Gail 9 seconds after. Per & Janaka followed as second runner up.
A concurrent fleet race was held with Trevor sailing single handed coming first followed by Rohitha & Rohan with Ernst picking up the final podium position.
As Jeremy was still overseas Hans accepted the OOD duties.
On Sunday we have the last Alton Cup Race - hopefully with Anil as OOD. It is also a single fleet race for all classes with no personal handicap. Single handed sailing is allowed.
