Uncertainty Auzi Bird Fleet Race - 26th January 2014
There were 13 boats on the water. For a normal fleet race - not bad at all. Those who came were rewarded with fun & fast sailing in the (up to 25 knots) strong sea breeze that eventually materialised. Only! three capsizes.
Jeremy Bird did his first OOD services and set the course to match up to the north-easterly breeze we had up to around 1pm - but at the start the sea breeze started to take over - the wonders of Bolgoda . . . .
Mohan & Capt. Per had a fantastic race where they once in a while had control over the boat. They were first on handicap in front of Devin & Jeremy Bolling and Steve Giffin showed us how to handle a GP14 singlehanded in a strong breeze and took third place.
After the race we were spoiled with yet another five star curry lunch - thanks to our brilliant cooks.
